Patrick Muldoon’s sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, is offering a look at one of their final exchanges following his sudden death at 57.

On Wednesday, April 22, Muldoon Zappa took to Instagram to share the last video the actor sent to their family group chat just hours before his death.

In the clip, Muldoon explained he was attending the opening of the David Geffen Galleries at the Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art.

“What do I see? This beautiful painting,” he said, turning the camera. “1622, Ignatius of Loyola.”

The artwork, titled Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s Vision of Christ and God the Father at La Storta, was painted by Domenichino Zampieri.

Muldoon then began reciting a chant from his time at Loyola High School before joking, “I think that was what he was thinking in the picture, actually.”

In the caption, Muldoon Zappa wrote that she searched the meaning of the painting and included a screenshot stating that it represented “a real spiritual experience” between Ignatius and divine powers.

“@p_hibs shared how dear friend/ brother and producing partner - Bobo - and him loved St. Ignatius because he was kind of the cool guy, good time guy who was still able to become a saint,” she continued. “Not only that but the LL LOY chant my brother says is from his football days at Loyola High School. As always, he jokes… and yet profoundly brings all things into one moment- the joke-ster, the artist, the football player, and the intensely spiritually connected, Jesuit educated, incredible being that is Patrick Muldoon.”

“My best friend. The best brother / son/ uncle/ anyone could ever possibly ask for,” Muldoon Zappa concluded. “I will have so much more to share as I know he loves this earthly realm and all he created within it… including all of the love and light his spirit is now receiving through all of you…. Surrounding you in light. We will eventually have details on when and where we will celebrate him. But now we are still processing. I continue to speak of him in present tense. Because his spirit is all around me. He just changed forms.”

After learning of his death, Richards, 55, honored Muldoon in an Instagram post, calling him her "best friend" and "voice of reason.”

"I am deeply heartbroken & devastated losing you," she wrote. "You were my best friend & my family. We met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who’s the boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don’t know it without you."

"The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare," Richards added. "You lit up every room you walked into. You are larger than life & everyone was drawn to you. So talented & most underrated actor. And most humble. Everything you did was infectious. Your laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion and your zest for life. We’ve been each other’s rock. Our memories together are endless. You’ve had my back and protected me more than anyone."
